Buying a home is a HUGE investment, so get a survey done!

When you buy a property, with or without a mortgage, it is always advisable to invest in a full survey.

If you are buying with a mortgage, the mortgage company will arrange their own inspection of the property for valuation purposes, but that may well not take into account, for example, the condition of the gas and electrical services at the property, or whether there are damp and timber problems.

We come across these kinds of problems frequently when acting for buyers. The cost of a survey can prove to be modest compared to the cost of the repairs that you might face later on.
