Don’t put off until tomorrow what needs to be done today! Your Will is the perfect opportunity to put your house in order, make sure your wishes are carried out and to provide for those you wish to provide for.
If you get your Will prepared during the month of May then Martin House Children’s Hospice could also benefit! People in Hull and East Yorkshire know about Dove House but not everyone knows about Martin House, the hospice for terminally ill children, based in Wetherby. Did you know that Martin House has supported over 200 families from Hull & East Yorkshire over the last 5 years and, in the last year alone, 31 terminally ill children and their families? Sadly, 10 of those children have now passed away but their families are still receiving bereavement support. One of those families was that of Ellie Mowforth, the little girl from Cottingham who died in January this year and whose family had Martin House at the top of their thank you list.
May is Make A Will Month for Martin House and it is being supported by law firms throughout Yorkshire who are offering to prepare Wills at a heavily discounted price (providing they are straightforward) to allow people the peace of mind of knowing that they have finally made their Will and, at the same time, had an opportunity to make a donation to this amazingly worthwhile cause. You may even want to think about leaving Martin House a legacy in your Will with the added benefit of this being tax free.
You may also be interested to know that Caroline Hudson, the Events Manager for Martin House actually lives in the East Riding and this coming Sunday, 19 May, Caroline will be organising a group from East Yorkshire to take part in the Hull 10K to raise funds for Martin House. People from Hudson Law will be running on the day!
Hudson Group would like to take this opportunity to send a huge good luck message to everyone taking part in the Hull 10K.
